PeelNStick versus Tile QR Plate:
QR Obit provides a small metal plate either as a PeelNStick or on a Tile. If you are not sure about attaching the PeelNStick version directly to the headstone, you can mount it on a memory rock to set on the base of the headstone. The memory rock can come from a location that has special meaning. Or you can use our Tile QR plate that can also be set on the headstone base or leaned on the headstone. For the Peelnstick version, just attach to a headstone or memory rock when dry and above freezing. The Tile version just needs leaned or set on the headstone base. Free shipping! In some circumstances, it can be difficult to find an online obituary or one that doesn’t require a subscription to view. If after searching and not finding an online obituary for the person, consider our Dedicated Page option. Just purchase a Dedicated Page and email or mail us what you want on it! You can send us a copy of a newspaper clipping or funeral program or even use information you put together yourself such as an updated obituary, tribute, or biography. We put your information on a long-term storage web page. It can even be updated later. Please look at the Dedicated Obit or Tribute Page for more information. The dedicated page will ensure the QR plate will work for a very long time!
Benefits of a Dedicated Page:
- The Dedicated Page can be made from an existing online obituary, a newspaper clipping, funeral program, or even your own words for a tribute, biography, or autobiography. You can use the $5 update later on if you discover more info. Even a small amount of info at the cemetery is rewarding to cemetery visitors.
- If you DO have an existing obituary, we will edit wording so that info reads in a present tense that will read appropriately even in the future. You can include extra information to the obituary! You can add as much info as you want to the original obituary, such as hobbies, character strengths, funny stories, adventures, achievements, etc.
- The Dedicated Page doesn’t have to be a typical obituary. It can be a tribute, biography, or autobiography. One photo is allowed, but more can be added from our Update page. There is a nominal fee for extra pictures due to the long term web storage.
QR Obit Update or Upgrade
Change the Web Address the PeelNStick or Tile points To: This is in case you want to point the QR plate to a different web page. Use our Update page to send us the new web address you want the plate to point to. We do need to charge $5 for the labor. Changes are usually active within 24-48 hours.
Add Dedicated Page Instead of Pointing to An Existing Page: Even though you start with a PeelNStick or Tile QR plate where the plate points to an existing online obituary or other page, you can upgrade to a dedicated page we provide at a later time for $20. You save $5 if you start out with a Dedicated Page and QR Plate Combo. A dedicated page can ensure the QR plate will work for a very long time.
Add More Photos to Your Dedicated Page: One photo is allowed with our dedicated pages if it is submitted with your initial text. We have to charge a nominal one-time fee for additional photos and videos to cover the very long storage and backup costs. Use our Update page to to add more photos.
Change the wording on a Dedicated Page: After the initial page has been setup, there is a $5 fee for later changes. The fee covers everything from editing a sentence to adding completely new information for the page. Once you purchase the “Change Dedicated Page Wording” on our Update page , we will send you a link to a submission page to enter your change instructions or to submit a completely revised page. If you submit a completely revised page, you may have to pay a photo fee if you use different photo(s).
Replace a lost plate: Since the 3″x3″ stone finish porcelain does not attach to the headstone, it can become lost. If you attach our peel n stick place to a stone, it can also become lost. Most people respect cemeteries, but there are exceptions. We just need the serial number engraved on the plate or the name of the person and cemetery town, so we know how to code the replacement plate. We offer replacements at a discounted price! We do have to cover materials and shipping.
